Course presentation - video

Why in Parma?

The degree course is part of the Department of Chemical, Life and Environmental Sustainability Sciences, selected by the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR) as a 'Department of Excellence' for the five-year periods 2018-2022 and 2023-2027, and awarded with extra funding enabling new innovation challenges.

It is designed for those who want to work in contexts of knowledge, protection and enhancement of the environment and nature. Lectures, laboratory exercises and numerous field activities will get you a solid scientific background; you will become familiar with the methodology of collecting, analysing and processing environmental data. By participating in the Naturalistic-Environmental Campaign you will learn to work in a team and will experiment in situ what you have learnt in class.

Finally, through your internship you will make contact with research in the University's laboratories, with the local professional realities (companies, public administration facilities, laboratories, natural parks, protected areas) or with other universities in the European Union, thanks to the numerous international agreements in place.

The degree course is based at the Science and Technology Campus, in Cascina Ambolana, where most of the teaching activities are held and where you will be in regulat contact with advanced research in Ecology, Biology and Environmental Biotechnology.
