Learning objectives
At the end of the lessons the student will be able to:
- to understand the hierarchy of evidence in the literature
- the difference between a database (DTB) and a search engine (SE) and the knowledge of the main DTB / SE related to Nursing
- The IMRAD structure of a scientific article
- the APA 6th style and the Vancouver style of bibliography layout
- to understand and know the contents of the various "parts" that structure a scientific article
- to know the principles of use of the main tools made available by the University to access the sources
Prerequisites
English language level A2 CEFR (key for schools)
Course unit content
The contents of the specific subject "Laboratorio lingua inglese scientifica, lettura articoli", concern everything that is inherent in the reading, the comprehension and interpretation of a scientific article in the literature on specific topics of Nursing.
