Learning objectives

Knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, the student will have acquired the basic knowledge related to: individual and organizational behavior, corporate culture and ethics, work motivation, leadership, individual and group decision-making processes, organizational communication.

Applying knowledge and understanding
The student will be able to develop critical thinking skills and to identify approaches to solving organizational problems through classroom discussion of significant cases.

Making judgments
The student will be able to assess the impact of organizational behavior and strategic and operational decisions on the human resources management.

Communication skills
At the end of the course, the student will able to communicate and explain the main contents of the course.

Learning skills
Students who have attended the course will be able to deepen their knowledge in the field of human resources management, through the autonomous consultation of specialized texts, journals or dissemination, even outside of the topics covered in class.

Prerequisites

There are no compulsory prerequisites.

Course unit content

The course examines the management and development of the human resources through the perspective of organizational behavior. The focus is placed first on the individuals, then on the team work and finally on the organization in its entirety.

Teaching methods

The theoretical topics of the course are explained by means of lectures. Exercises and business cases are proposed on the practical parts of the course. Moreover, business cases are discussed as examples of the main theoretical arguments of the course. Finally, seminars with the intervention of companies representatives are organized during the course.

Assessment methods and criteria

The exam consists of a written test.
