Internships

The University of Parma promotes curricular internships in order to facilitate professional choices through direct knowledge of the world of work and the realisation of moments of alternation between study and work.

The curricular internship integrates and completes the student's training pathway through the performance of practical activities which, on the basis of the provisions of the Degree Course Regulations, may be carried out in structures within the University or externally at qualified public and private bodies with which the University has entered into appropriate agreements.

The internship involves three parties: the student, the promoter (the University of Parma) and the host (company or organisation) where the activity is carried out under the guidance of a student tutor, a university tutor and a company supervisor.

Curricular internships are not a prerequisite for an employment relationship between the intern and the host structure, nor can they be a substitute for company labour or professional services.

TRADE internships: important information

Students are encouraged to complete their studies in TRADE by undertaking an internship, which may be at a company (so-called External Internship or STA), at a university or departmental facility (STI) or abroad (STE).

The internship may be chosen to complete the number of curricular ECTS credits required to complete the course of study, or it may also be chosen by the student who has already completed the required number of ECTS credits. In the latter case, you can still see it written in your 'career'.

TRADE periodically notifies its students of internship opportunities via the mailing list and the course's facebook page. Students can see at any time on the 'Esse3' system, where they fill in their programme of study, all available internships collected.

Furthermore, the UniPR Loyalty Observatory of the Department of Economics and Management, a Research Centre that has been conducting research on the world of loyalty and CRM for more than 20 years and of which Prof. Cristina Ziliani (www.osservatoriofedelta.it) is the Scientific Head, every year activates internship positions as CRM and Digital assistant or Junior Researcher for TRADE students. The students then have the opportunity to put themselves to the test with practical activities in support of the Observatory's work and the organisation of the Observatory's Annual Conference, which is attended by around 400 managers from all over Italy. In addition to enriching the curriculum vitae of the selected candidates, the internship activity allows them to accrue credits that are recognised in the student's career.
