Learning objectives

The educational objectives of this course are to provide students with a thorough understanding of evidence-based medicine (EBM) and its application in clinical practice. Students will learn to conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and will be introduced to AI tools for analyzing medical literature. By the end of the course, students will be able to critically appraise and synthesize medical research, and effectively use EBM principles to enhance patient care and healthcare outcomes.

This course explores the principles and practices of evidence-based medicine (EBM). The course covers the process of conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and introduces students to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in analyzing large bodies of medical literature, known as the bibliome. Students will gain an understanding of how EBM is applied to improve clinical decision-making and healthcare outcomes, leveraging both traditional and advanced technological approaches.
