Learning objectives
1st LEARNING ENPOINT: the student is expected to know the gross anatomy of the abdominal wall, the peritoneal cavity, and its organs
2nd LEARNING ENPOINT; the student is expected to be able to identify, recognize and describe the main abdominal structures and organs seen during the laparoscopic surgical approach
3rd LEARNING POINT: the student is expected to be able to develop a clinic/surgical oriented anatomical-based thinking of the abdominal cavity and its contents
4th LEARNING ENPOINT: the student is expected to master the anatomical/clinical/surgical language

Course unit content
Video-laparoscopic approach to gross anatomy of the abdominal cavity
Full programme
Abdominal wall, peritoneum, omentum and peritoneal ligaments, omental bursa, organs of the abdominal cavity identified, isolated and described with a videolaparoscopic approach
Bibliography
No textbooks will be used; the lessons will be based the projection and description of videos of interventions of abdominal surgery via videolaparoscopic approach
Teaching methods
The didactic activities will be mainly conducted through interactive frontal lessons which include the projection, description and comment of videolaparoscopic videos.
Assessment methods and criteria
The achievement of the objectives will be ascertained through interactive discussion with the students during lessons. Since this is an elective didactic activity, it is not expected a final exam, but only the certification of attendance.
