Learning objectives


At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to:
-know the general principles of the different biological monitoring techniques;
-know of the principles of analytical data quality and reporting methods
-analyse a test report and the register of exposed workers

Prerequisites


Students need the knowledge gained from the course Fundamentals of Chemistry and the basic knowledge of Organic Chemistry and Physics are required.

Course unit content


The lectures are aimed at providing the general principles of the various sampling techniques of biological monitoring highlighting the advantages, limits, the appropriateness depending on the type of pollutant and of biological matrix.

Teaching methods


The lessons will take place in presence, in compliance with safety standards, unless further provisions due to the possible continuation of the health emergency.
The teaching material will be deposited on the Teams or Elly platform with access reserved for students and will include iconographic presentations, material provided in class and/or video recording of the lessons.

Assessment methods and criteria


The achievement of the objectives of the training module will be established during the oral examination provided by the teaching. Through questions on the topics covered in the course will assess the knowledge and understanding of the content by the student.
The overall assessment, in thirtieth, is communicated immediately to the student.
