Integrated course unit module: DENTAL MATERIALS

Learning objectives

Knowledge of Dental Materials: Students will gain a solid understanding of the different types of materials used in dentistry, including their advantages, disadvantages and specific applications.
Practical Skills: Students will develop practical skills in biological analysis of materials through laboratory activities.
Analysis and Evaluation: Students will learn to evaluate the performance of dental materials using scientific methods and interpret laboratory test results.
Design and Innovation: Students will be encouraged to explore new applications and contribute to the development of innovative materials for dentistry.

Prerequisites

Have attended the theoretical classes of Dental Materials

Course unit content

Development, modification, and biocompatibility analysis of dental biomaterials and scaffolds for bone grafting.
Gain in-depth knowledge of dental materials, including composites, ceramics, metals, and polymers.
Understand the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of dental materials and their behavior under various clinical conditions.
