Learning objectives
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Knowledge and understanding.
The objective of the final exam is to provide the student with the capability to understand in depth a specific topic and with the knowledge of the writing technique and oral presentation of a scientific topic relevant to the study program.
Capability to apply knowledge and understanding.
The student is required to develop independently what he/she has learned on a specific topic.
Making judgements.
The student will develop his/her thesis work according to autonomously identified development lines.
Communication skills.
An oral presentation of the thesis work will be delivered to a technical audience (the Degree Commitee), not necessarily composed of specialists in the specific field covered by the thesis, but both clarity and expository rigor must be guaranteed.
Learning skills.
The student will increase his self-learning skills by interacting with the Committee which identifies, in the student’s work, new developments or points of improvement.

The final exam can be taken after the attainment of 96 credits and after completion of the formalities described in the course Regulations (see the link https://cdlm-ce.unipr.it/il-corso/regolamento-del-corso-di-studio).
Course unit content
CONTENTS
The final thesis consists of a design/analysis project in the sector of Telecommunication Engineering, whose topics and contents must be agreed upon with the thesis supervisor, and whose development must be carried out independently by the student. At the end of the work a written thesis must be produced and finally discussed in front of an examination committee.

Independent study under the guidance of the thesis supervisor.
Assessment methods and criteria
METHODS OF LEARNING VERIFICATION
The document prepared by the student will be first reviewed by the supervisor. The student will then present the main aspects of his/her work to an examination committee that will ascertain the level of autonomy and mastery of specific methodologies achieved by the student.
