Learning objectives

To be knowledgeable and competent about a correct assessment of the nutritional state, nutritional requirements, and nutrition for prevetion and treatment of metabolic diseases.

Clinical Nutrition, applied dietary sciences, metabolic diseases

Full programme

General principles of Human Nutrition. Physiological requirements and functions of major nutrients. Assessment of body composition and of nutritional state. Setting up a diet plan.
The role of diet in the development of chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.
Epidemiology, patophysiology. medical therapy of obesity and bariatric surgery.
