Learning objectives

Knowledge and understanding:
The student, at the end of the course, should have a basic knowledge of tools for building energy analysis

Applying knowledge and understanding:
At the end of the course the student should be capable of getting feedback on the expected energy use of proposed designs.

Making judgements:
At the end of the course the student should have developed basic judgment skills to compare the effectiveness of different designs and chose the best one.

Communication skills:
At the end of the course the student should be able to accurately present the comparison among different design options.

Learning skills:
the student should be capable of autonomously learn every kind of BIM tool for the energy certification

Teaching methods

The course is developed on in-class lectures, in-class practical activities and group in-class and home activities.
Every student is expected to produce a final project assisted by the teaching staff (middle-term revisions).

Assessment methods and criteria

The grade is based on oral exam evaluation (50%) and final project evaluation (50%) .
