Learning objectives
The course aims to deepen the knowledge and understanding of the orthodontic visit and know how to formulate a clinical diagnosis showing the patient the subsequent exams. Know and understand how to take fingerprints of templates and a photo of the patient, associated psychological approach capability.

Course unit content
To know and understand the importance of proper orthodontic visit through the clinical contact with the patient, with evaluation of orthodontic and build parameters of the first visit, the patient explanation of orthodontic situation and how instrumental survey. Tutorial on taking dental impressions and their development in chalk.

Teaching methods
Lectures and practical exercises, guided by a tutor, with the patient, complemented by discussion on clinical methods of an initial orthodontic visit in order to form a critical ability in students on the mode and allow to acquire accurate knowledge of malocclusion and their etiology, useful to clinically diagnose the faults of the dental occlusion and facial massif and also the ability to represent them with templates
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, with more teachers in order to ensure the quality and level of knowledge and understanding of the course content and the ability to apply the acquired knowledge to professional practice. The trial will also evaluate the quality of student participation in class.
