Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to allow the Students in learn,
understand and apply the techniques of dental modeling.
Special emphasis is placed on the execution of wax models,
useful tool for clinical practice and to gain Students’ independence of judgment.

Course unit content
The course has the purpose of forming Students able to perform dental modeling.
The course provides the theoretical and practical knowledge to perform dental models.
The theoretical session illustrates the methods of morphological analysis of the occlusal surfaces of the teeth and the modeling techniques for anatomical and functional reproducibility.
The practical session allows Students to create models in wax.
- Evaluation of tooth morphology
- Notes on the modeling techniques
- Realization of wax models
