to get started the student in analyzing and controlling the right execution of a lateral skull rx. and to recognize on this every single bone of the cranio-maxillofacial complex

Course unit content

The "cephalometry" ADE is offered to the Ist year students of the dental school. The coomprensive cephalometric analysis of the patient's skull is in the IV year course, so the real objective of this ADE is to transmit the knowledge of the radiographic anatomy. Ist year students are learning the human anatomy, especially the skull anatomy, studying also the radiographic anatomy may be so very useful.

Full programme

How a good teleradiography of the skull has to be made. Enlarging factors, distortion, difficult areas, soft tissues. Teleradiographic anatomy of every single bone of the cranio-maxillofaccial complex.
