Learning objectives
The course of Health Promotion, will take place at the Department of Medicine and Surgery. The course wants to introduce the proper knowledge to the students and the interventions necessary to promote the health referred to the cardiovascular diseases. The students will acquire skills and methodologies for learning abilities connected with specific professional activity and communications.
Course unit content
The students will acquire informations about health promotion with a particular focus on the field of cardiovascular diseases. The first part of the course is based in a general description describing the health promotion in general following the Ottawa charter. The second part of the courses will take in consideration (hypertension, hypertrophy, heart failure, ischemic heart), risk factors prevention and promotion modality not only for the individual but for the entire community.
