For this reason, learning and training objectives play a decisive role. The internship is aimed to achieve the training goals by means of a necessary internal tutor (university) and an external one (company/authority), which in this case, corresponds to the thesis supervisor.
Concerning this, the external and the internal tutors cooperate together in order to the student could achieve the following training objectives:
General objectives:
• Inclusion and integration into the corporate work by acquiring all the information about the general activities especially those in the field where the internship is held.
• Understanding the company’s regulatory provisions with particular attention to injuries, behavioral, hygienic or organizational needs required within the host structure.
Specific objectives:
• The training project defines the specific objectives, which may vary from stage to stage. However, activities in which the student can make critical decisions about the proposed topics and/or tasks will be preferred (making decisions).
Students will have the opportunity to elaborate information, ideas, problems and solutions to reach conclusions based on their own knowledge by communicating with expert and/or not specialist (communication skill).
At the end of the internship, the student acquires skills on the subject developed during the training project, taking advantage of the experience acquired in the company/authority. (Learning skills)
