Learning objectives
The course aims at providing the student with a first understanding of some basic aspects of contemporary philosophy of language and with the ability to adequately develop arguments with regard to these, and at improving his autonomy in judgment and his skills in communicating (thanks to the discussion in class) and learning in this field.

The course offers a first introduction to some basic notions of contemporary philosophy of language, especially those of meaning and reference.
