Learning objectives
To provide basic information to know and understand the mechanisms underlying
post-exercise tissue damage and diseases due to drug abuse.
Prerequisites
Bases of biology, anatomy, biochemistry and physiology are required.
Course unit content
Lectures will concern:
a) strenuous exercise and tissue damage
b) the PostExercise ImmunoSuppression (PEIS)
c) disorders referable to androgen/EPO abuse
d) laboratory indexes of overexercise, tissue damage,
immunosuppression, androgen/EPO abuse.

Interactive oral lessons supported by iconographic material that will be available for students.
Assessment methods and criteria
