A Course that offers a multidisciplinary approach that will enable you to understand and interpret in their complexity current problems, considered from an international perspective. A course that is characterized by attention to the quality of teaching, which is increasingly oriented to a laboratory approach and is highly appreciated by students. In a context characterized by a marked vitality and resourcefulness of the enrolled students, who - starting from the stimuli of the lectures - organize numerous initiatives, often in collaboration with the professors, the student acquires skills and knowledge that open to a variety of employment opportunities and prospects for study in Second-cycle degree courses.
The training course is characterized by the plurality of disciplinary frameworks (from sociology, psychology and pedagogy; from law to economics; from theories to methods proper to social service). To this end, the teaching modules related to the professional area also make use of experienced professionals. The quality of teaching is also taken care of through the provision of workshops, in-depth meetings and exercises, in order to offer students not only a solid theoretical preparation but also a casuistic and practical approach, which is highly appreciated. The Course maintains constant relations with the world of work, both through the network of conventions for professional internships and through the complementary educational offerings, which allow for experimentation with forms of interactive teaching. Discussions with social associations, in particular, have given rise to initiatives involving didactics through testimonials, the practice of open lectures and the possibility for students to experience real research experiences in the field.
A degree course that provides a preparation for the modern jurist, already well oriented towards various professional outlets, also at the international level. This course, which, also thanks to the support of the city's legal institutions, offers quality training, especially based on the casuistic, seminar and workshop method: in an atmosphere of fruitful cooperation with Faculty members and fellow students, students experience a practical approach to reality and acquire concrete skills, not only purely legal, but transversal, to be spent on the job. Indeed, the employment and satisfaction results of law graduates in Parma are remarkable.
The Master's degree programme in "Global Food Law: Sustainability Challenges and Innovation" (LM SC-GIUR) aims to train professionals specialised in the food sector, examining the challenges of sustainability and innovation in the agri-food industry from various legal, political, sociological, agricultural and economic perspectives.
The course primarily aims to educate legal experts capable of addressing the needs of a society increasingly open to new professional roles across multiple disciplines. Therefore, it is characterised by strong interdisciplinarity, providing skills not only in law but also in areas related to the extensive field of food.
The course is distinguished by its focus on the quality of teaching, increasingly oriented towards a hands-on and experiential approach, and it offers opportunities for visits and internships in innovative companies, specifically within the food sector.
The Course is part of a broader project, Food For Future, for which the Department of Law, Politics and International Studies has been awarded the title of Department of Excellence for the five-year term 2023-2027 (https://www.foodforfuture.unipr.it/en/home )
A Course that has a marked multidisciplinary connotation, capable of enhancing the knowledge and understanding gained by students during the three-year period, allowing them to elaborate and apply it in an original and interdisciplinary form. A course that combines frontal lectures with activities of a laboratory nature and that is characterized by a great attention to the student, as demonstrated by the satisfaction declared by those enrolled in relation to the teaching activities. In order to create an additional opportunity for language learning six compulsory courses are delivered in English. Graduates will be able to direct themselves to multiple employment outlets, with particular reference to careers in international organizations.
The course includes theoretical-practical didactic experiments and maintains fruitful relationships with local agencies and institutions, with the aim of fostering encounters between students and the contexts of social service and programming. Particular attention is paid to orientation to the profession (with reflection meetings on social work and the evolution of the professional role of the social worker and, specifically, of the social programmer, and with field research actions within institutional and third sector structures aimed at the realization of experimental theses).
