Preparing the thesis

by the Didactic Regulations

22.3 The provisions relating to the operation of the Course stipulate that, by the end of the first semester of the third year, the student shall indicate in writing the general topic chosen for the Thesis and submit a 'Thesis Project' to the President of the Course.
Together with the choice of topic and preparation of the Project, the student must choose a Thesis Advisor from among the course lecturers of the three academic years.
It is up to the undergraduate to make contact with a professor in question, who will then act as supervisor, within a reasonable time frame in order to begin work on the thesis.
The Supervisor is a professor/instructor on the degree course who ensures the validity of the candidate's thesis in order to submit it for discussion for the degree and is responsible for the accuracy of the data entered in the thesis request form.
For particular situations, a second supervisor from another Faculty or another University, including a foreign one, but in any case with recognised academic competence, may be indicated. This second supervisor may participate in the work of the Final Examination Committee, but may not contribute to the graduation grade.
The Supervisor and the student may also make use of a Thesis Tutor in the preparation of the Thesis.
The Thesis Tutor is a competent person who supports the undergraduate student in the development of the thesis. As well as an official Course professor/instructor, the Tutor may be a: contract professor, regular professor/tutor of elective teaching activities, doctoral student, research fellow, hospital lecturer, internship tutor, expert in laboratories and research centres of other institutions, including foreign ones, expert in the subject. The Tutor must be indicated by the supervisor and may be part of the Final Examination Committee.

22.12 In compliance with the provisions of the University's general regulations on the degree examinations of the Health Professions Degree Courses, the Degree Course Council lays down specific rules on the procedures for the assignment and preparation of degree theses and their assessment procedures, which are referred to from year to year.
