Average calculation
20.8 The Final Examination of the degree courses has the value of a state exam qualifying for professional practice.
There is a single Final Examination consisting of two different assessment stages: the Practical Examination, in which students must demonstrate the degree of knowledge and theoretical-practical competence required by their professional profile
the drafting of a thesis, related to the specific professional field, and its presentation and discussion.
The two different parts of the final examination must be assessed equally, both contributing to the determination of the final examination grade.
In the event of an inadequate evaluation of the practical test, the examination is interrupted and considered failed, and must therefore be repeated in its entirety at a subsequent sitting.
20.9 The mark for the Final Examination will be determined by the arithmetic mean (out of 30) of the
Practical test: marked out of 30, starting with a minimum mark of 18/30. In the event of an insufficient evaluation (less than 18/30) of the practical test, the examination is interrupted and must be repeated at a subsequent session;
Dissertation/thesis presentation: marked out of 30, starting with a minimum mark of 18/30.
The Final Examination is deemed passed if the mark is at least 66/110.
The mark for the practical test and the mark for the dissertation of the thesis must be expressed in the minutes of the practical test and in the minutes of the dissertation/thesis presentation, reporting the arithmetic mean resulting from the two tests.
The grade for the Final Examination (marked out of 30) determines the mark to be awarded for the Final Examination (from 1 to 10), as per the table below:
Final examination grade range
Range of marks to be awarded
from 18/30 to 22/30
from 1 to 3 points
from 23/30 to 26/30
from 4 to 7 points
from 27/30 to 30/30
from 8 to 10 points
20.10 The following two parameters contribute to determining the Degree mark out of 110 (one hundred and ten): weighted average of the marks obtained in the curricular examinations of the Course (out of one hundred and ten)
mark awarded for the Final Examination (from 1 to 10).
Honours may be awarded, only with the unanimous consent of the Committee, to candidates who have obtained a final mark of over 110/110.
