Studying abroad

The University of Parma offers all its students various opportunities to foster the development of a real international dimension of university study. From exchanges in Europe through the Erasmus Plus Programme to extra-European mobility with the Overworld Programme.

The University's facilities for incoming and outgoing student mobility are described at this link.

Erasmus+ Programme

The Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences and the Physics Course Council encourage student mobility programmes recognised by the universities of the European Union, as well as other activities involving educational exchanges, according to a principle of reciprocity, facilitating outgoing mobility and making its own teaching resources and tutoring assistance available to visiting students, as provided for by European programmes and policies on university education.

For further information on the Erasmus + project, on international mobility programmes and on the criteria for the allocation of grants within the Physics Degree Course, students can contact the Physics Area Responsible for Student Mobility within the EU Programmes:

Prof. Mauro Riccò - mauro.ricco@unipr.it (Department Delegate)
Prof. Davide Orsi - davide.orsi@unipr.it

or the tutor

Dott. Simone Chicco - simone.chicco@unipr.it (PhD student in Physics, 35th cycle)
Reception hours (online until further notice):  Wednesday 12:30 - 13:30
                                                                        Friday 12:30 - 13:30

and visit the Department page of the Erasmus+ Programme

Language Placement Test

The student is required to check the language requirements of the university at which he or she intends to spend an Erasmus+ period. In order to ensure that Erasmus+ mobility students are able to verify their language level in a timely manner, the University of Parma provides for a compulsory language proficiency test (Language Placement Test, LPT) at the time of application. In order to apply for the Erasmus+ call for applications, the LPT test is therefore required.
The dates and procedures for taking the LPT test are published on the LPT University page.
