Learning objectives
Students will acquire the advanced knowledge regarding the teaching of Latin which is required for them to enter the teaching profession.
Prerequisites
Students must have acquired 12 learning credits in the scientific subject area of ‘Latin Language and Literature’.
Course unit content
The course is finalized: 1) to the development of the ability to individualize and to choose the most proper methodologies for the teaching of the lexicon, of the morphology, of the syntax and of the Latin literature; 2) to the organization of a lesson of language, civilization and Latin literature, scientifically opting for the methodologies and more innovative technologies and motivanti; 3) to the refinement of the abilities to translate and to comment a Latin text to school.

Teaching methods
Classroom lectures plus weekly tutorials. Students will also be required to take part in seminars.
Students will be assessed on the basis of an oral exam and the presentation of a research paper to be agreed upon with the teacher.
