Learning objectives
At the end of the course the student will learn the cognitive-behavioral interventions to establish the most effective ways of life suitable to optimal physical and mental development and maintenance of better health, fitness and quality of life. Must have learned the mechanisms by which nutrition and exercise play a vital role in the promotion of well-being. Should be able to dictate nutrition and mobility to prevent major chronic degenerative diseases and disabilities and to delay the aging process. As well as in dictating drug treatment, either alone or with the help of a specialist reference, it must provide nutritional advice and suggest exercise suited to the clinical, functional and social impact of its clients, as a means of therapy, prevention (primary , secondary and tertiary) and rehabilitation.

Course unit content
The Mediterranean model. Setting up and implementation of nutritional regimes in the various age groups. Prevention and nutritional treatment (diet therapy) of hypertension, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease. The control of food intake: stimuli and conditioning. Eating disorders (DCA) and nutritional disorders of a hereditary character: the point of view of clinical nutritionist

Adaptations and adjustments induced by exercise: favorable effects in healthy subjects and in the prevention treatment and rehabilitation of major chronic degenerative diseases (cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, metabolic syndrome, aging). Diseases of affluence and physical activity. Addresses nutrition, hydration, integration, reintegration and supplementation in the sport. Fatigue (overreaching and overtraining). Activity and competitiveness: indications and limits in all age groups. Tasks and functions of Sports Medicine. The exercise prescription (type, intensity, duration and frequency) in the individual clinical situations (sports therapy) and the correct method of administration.
