Integrated course unit module: DIGESTIVE PATHOLOGIES

Learning objectives

The student should achieve a complete knowledge of the main gastrointestinal disorders, about the semiotics of the digestive system with the organic framework of the main diseases. It is also required knowledge of the main endoscopic techniques and notions related to other techniques necessary for the study of the digestive tract (ultrasound, X-rays, CT, MRI). Basic knowledge of pathological anatomy of gastrointestinal cancer and inflammatory bowel diseases. Conventional and unconventional therapy in major gastrointestinal disease

Prerequisites

Student must have passed the exams of Uman Anatomy and Physiology

Course unit content

ESOPHAGUS: Achalasia, Esophageal Diverticulum, Gastroesophageal reflux disease and Barrett's esophagus, Benign and malignant tumors.
APERTURE: diaphragmatic hernias.
STOMACH: gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, benign and malignant tumors.
PANCREAS: Pancretite acute and chronic Tumors (of the exocrine pancreas, cystic, endocrine pancreas)
BILIARY: lithiasis of the gallbladder and biliary tract, acute cholecystitis, cholangitis acute immune-mediated disorders (primary sclerosing cholangitis, primary biliary cirrhosis), Benign and malignant tumors.
Liver: Fatty liver, hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, ascites, Benign and malignant tumors (primary and secondary).
INTESTNO SOFT: Meckel diverticulum, Celiac Disease, Benign and malignant tumors.
Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, indeterminate colitis.
APPENDIX ileocecal: Acute appendicitis, cancer.
COLORECTAL: Entero-colitis infectious, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, polyps (benign polyps / malignant, adenomatous / non adenomatous familial / non-family), malignant tumors.
ANO E PERINEUM: hemorrhoidal disease, anal fissure, perianal fistulas and abscesses, tumors.
ACUTE ABDOMEN: Abdominal pain, ileus mechanical and paralytic, peritonitis.
Digestive bleeding: High and low.
INTESTINAL ISCHEMIA: Acute and chronic.
