Learning objectives

- To acquire knowledge regarding the evolution of the concepts of dropping out and deviance.
- To acquire knowledge regarding the main characteristics of teens at risk for dropping out of school or at risk for deviant behavior.
- To be able to identify the strenghtnesses and weaknesses of the droppout and deviant behavior prevention and recovery programs.

- Introduction of the concept of “special educational need”.
- Analysis of the evolution of the concepts of deviance and dropping-out.
- Presentation of the main characteristics of teens at risk for drop-out or for deviant behavior.
- Presentation and critycal analysis of scholastic or extrascholastic droppout and deviant behavior prevention and recovery programs.
