Learning objectives

to provide: a) approach to the patients with malignant and nonmalignant hematological diseases; b) basic information on genetic and molecular biology; c) Interpretation of the diagnostic reports; d)principles of therapy and its complications.

Causes, clinical and pathological aspects of the blood diseases; severe aplastic anemia; myelodysplastic syndromes; leukemia; lymphomas; monoclonal gammopathies; chronic lymphoproliferative disorders; chronic myeloproliferative disorders; inherited and acquired anemias; thrombocytopenia; stem cell transplantation; Therapeutic modalities and principles.
