To provide the basic notions concerning the functional properties relating to the physiology of the reproductive system, pregnancy and birth.

Basic notions concerning physic, chemistry and biology.
Course unit content
The course will deal with the fundamental notions relating to the physiology of the reproductive system, pregnancy and birth.
Full programme
Sexual differentiation. Puberty. Female and male reproductive system physiology. Effects of estrogen and progesterone. Menstrual cycle events. Physiology of pregnancy. Breastfeeding physiology. Physiology of childbirth and the unborn child.
