Learning objectives
Provide the student with the theoretical and practical basis for a correct management of patients suffering from infectious diseases either hospitalized or followed in the outpatient clinic
Prerequisites
Semeiology and microbiology basis.
Course unit content
Anamnesis, physical examination, diagnosis and therapy of infectious disease cases hospitalized in the Unit of Infectious Diseases and Hepatology of Parma; participation in the visit of patients with HCV, HIV, HBV infections followed in the outpatient clinic; participation in the ultrasound activity conducted on patients with liver diseases.

Direct involvement of the student in the reasoned evaluation of clinical cases relative to patients either hospitalized or visited in the outpatient clinic or undergoing diagnostic ultrasound examinations for infectious diseases.

Interactive discussion of the examined clinical cases in order to understand the level of comprehension of the patient problems
