Knowledge and understanding of the main physiopathological mechanisms which underlie the main pulmonary diseases and epidemiological cardiovascolar higher incidence in the area: Asthma, COPD, Pneumonia, Lung Cancer, Respiratory allergies, circulatory failure, arrhythmias, myocardial infarction and ischemic pathology

Anatomy and Histology, Physiology, Pathology, Biochemistry and Microbiology

Course unit content

Respiratory Diseases (CFU3) Cardiovascular Diseases (CFU2) Allergology (CFU1); Cardiopulmonary Radiology (CFU1)
Knowledge of the physiopathological aspects, clinical and functional respiratory diseases and increased incidence of cardiovascular epidemiology

Full programme

Signs and symptoms diagnostically useful in cardio-pulmonary medicine: cough, sputum, dyspnea, hemoptysis, chest pain, cyanosis, tachyarrhythmia.
Bronchial asthma, COPD, emphysema, bronchitis acute and chronic respiratory failure, pulmonary fibrosis, tumors pleuro-pulmonary edema pulmonary extrinsic allergic Alveloiti, pneumothorax, pleurisy, empyema, pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis, mitral regurgitation and aortic stenosis; Cardiomyopathies dilated, ischemic heart disease, angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, hypo-and hyper-kinetic; congestive heart failure. Chronic pulmonary heart.

Teaching methods

Lectures will be held on-site in compliance with safety standards, provided that further instructions on the ongoing health emergency are not implemented. Supporting material will be available on the specific, student-reserved platform (Elly) and will include slide presentations, audio-video aids or video-recording of the lectures.

Small groups of students (6-8) accompanied by a tutor attending cardiology and pneumology areas (bedside), the laboratories of respiratory and cardiovascular physiopathology, radiology, Bronchology, clinical seminars
