Learning objectives
The student will be able to: prescribe physical activity instructions appropriate to main non communicable diseases and disability prevention, and to healthy aging; recommend and prescribe physical exercise suitable to clinical, functional, and social context of his patients as primary and tertiary prevention, care, and rehabilitation.; illustrate the pathophysiological bases and recognize the clinical features of the most common dysmetabolic conditions

Exercise based interventions for optimal psychophysical grow and best health, fitness, wellness, and quality of life conservation. How physical activity works as central position in health promotion. Key pathophysiologic and clinical elements of the main dysmetabolic conditions (diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemias)
Full programme
Physical exercise induced adjustments and adaptations: positive effects in healthy subjects, and for main non communicable diseases prevention (cardiovascular diseases, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, metabolic syndrome, tumors, aging). Sedentary and well-being diseases. Physical exercise prescription (type, intensity, duration, frequency) for clinical purpose (sport therapy) and how accurately administer it. Pathophysiolocial bases and clinical elements of diet prescriptions. Therapeutic lifestyle changes: theory and practice. Etiology, pathophysiology and clinical features of the most common dysmetabolic conditions (diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemias, hypeuricemia). COVID-19 and Metabolic Disorders.

Teaching methods
The course will be held through lectures to Students either in the classroom (“in presenza”) or in synchronous-streaming (“in telepresenza”) on the Teams platform. Therefore, the opportunity of Student/Teacher interaction will be preserved both face to face and remotely, by the simultaneous use of the Teams platform.
Lectures will be supported by slide presentations, some of which will be available to students on the Elly platform (https://elly.medicina.unipr.it).
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination.
Range of assessment values: 1-30 (30 best)
In case of the persistence of the health emergency, the exams will be conducted remotely, as follows:
