Learning objectives
The course aims to provide evaluation criteria for environmental, energy and economic sustainability.
Knowledge and ability to understand:
At the end of the course the student will have acquired knowledge on the physical phenomena at the base of the building heat losses to the environment and on the energy balance of the building.
Skills:
The student will be able to perform energy analysis of the building, by using a certified commercial software.
Autonomy of judgment:
At the end of the learning process the student will have acquired tools to critically interpret the results of the automatic calculation procedure.
Communication skills:
With reference to a building of low complexity, the student must possess the ability to highlight the main components of the energy balance, presenting in a clear and with language properties the details of the physical phenomenon and the results of the analysis performed.
Prerequisites
To follow the course with profit, basic knowledge of Physics is required.

Assessment methods and criteria
The exam is based on an oral test that will focus on the topics discussed in the course and on the report presented. The correct and complete knowledge of the subject of examination and exposure property will be verified.
The vote shall be communicated immediately upon completion of the oral examination before its registration. Praise is given in case of achieving the highest score to which the disciplinary vocabulary is added.
Other information
Each student must perform the energy performance diagnosis of a building and must prepare a report that will be discussed during the assessment of learning.
