Learning objectives

The course will provide the student of the Industrial Chemistry Course a body of knowledge of physic-chemical character adequate for allowing them to deal with competently a series of issues common for the industrial chemist, connected in particular to the control and development of processes for the synthesis of product having high interest for application.

Prerequisites

None

Course unit content

The first part of the course will be focused on the fundamental elements of energy, matter and motion transfer. The subject will be dealt with after an appropriate preparatory stage mainly devoted to the Kinetic Theory of Gases, having the aim to allow the students to learn the basics for taking the course without difficulties. The second part will be dedicated to the study of the phase diagrams, starting from the concepts acquired in the ambit of the Physical Chemistry 1 course. At last, elements of further topics could be dealt with.
