Learning objectives
STUDENTS SHOULD ACQUIRE THE KNOWLEDGE OF BASIC CONCEPTS AND METHODS OF SCIENTIFIC PSYCHOLOGY AND THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUNCTIONAL MECHANISMS OF MAIN COGNITIVE PROCESSES UNDERLYING HUMAN BEHAVIOUR, SUCH AS SENSATION, PERCEPTION,LEARNING AND MEMORY.
MOREOVER STUDENTS SHOULD ACQUIRE THE CAPACITY TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE FOR UNDERSTANDING HUMAN NORMAL AND PATHOLOGICAL BEHAVIOUR. THEY SHOULD ACQUIRE THE CAPACITY OF DEEPENING AND UPDATING THE ARGUMENTS.

Assessment methods and criteria
A WRITTEN EXAM WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE IF STUDENTS HAVE MET THE GOALS OF THIS COURSE. THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE AIMS OF SCIENTIFIC PSYCHOLOGY AND THE GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF THE MENTAL FUNCTIONS WITH SPECIFIC REFERENCE TO SENSATION, PERCEPTION, LEARNING AND MEMORY WILL BE TESTED. THE CAPACITY OF STUDENTS TO MAKE CONNECTIONS AMONG THESE PRINCIPLES AND HUMAN BEHAVIOUR WILL BE TESTED AS WELL.
