Learning objectives
The course will give to students the elements to understanding the outlines of food history from antiquity to the present, and the close link between food history, material history.
From the birth of agriculture to the invention of cooking.
The construction of an European food system.
The language and “grammar” of food.
The taste as a social and cultural result.
