Course presentation - video

Why in Parma?

The course boasts a strong and ever-growing index of attractiveness, due to the educational value of the theoretical lessons characterised by a multidisciplinary vocation in the fields of management, research, training, didactic and advanced clinical areas (nursing/obstetric clinical management experiences).

Great importance is given to internship experiences, as positively noted by the evaluations of students and graduates. Internship experiences are organised on a 1:1 basis with senior figures of the specific professional profile, in line with the priorities of the course.

Throughout the course students benefit from the constant support of a tutor who will follow them from enrolment to graduation. Attendance at lectures is compulsory for 60% of each block (or integrated course), to allow entry also to working students.

The University provides annual scholarships for students who wish to participate in tutoring activities.

Attendance

Mandatory.

After graduation

Graduates can work in the following areas:

  •     organisational-managerial: director/manager of care services in healthcare companies or public or private institutions;
  •     didactic-educational: head or lecturer of teaching in degree courses within own area of competence, in educational sectors and professional refresher courses;
  •     facilities with a high intensity of care: director/manager of long-stay nursing facilities, hospices, Palliative Care services, territorial services and other forms of direction and coordination of facilities and services with a prevalent nursing care value;
  •     research: university researcher, research and consultancy for public and private  companies.

The competences of the Master's degree holder can also be expressed in horizontal developments within the job position.

Moreover, the skills acquired can lead to participation in and coordination of research projects in clinical care, organisation and training, as well as teaching activities.

At the end of the course, graduates will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge with second-level master's degrees (including the master's degree in Management of Health Services for Coordination Functions in the Health Professions Area).
