The course is divided into three curricula, designed to meet the concrete needs of the world of work: Animal Production Sciences (SPA): for those who wish to work in livestock farming and contribute to the efficient and sustainable management of production chains; Precision Livestock Farming (PLF): delivered entirely in English, it is designed for those who want to learn more about innovative technologies for the sustainable management of livestock farms, animal welfare and the optimisation of production quality; Equine Science and Techniques (STE): ideal for those who want to work in the horse breeding, management and welfare sector. Students choose their curriculum in the third year with greater awareness of their professional interests and goals. The course is distinguished by the high level of satisfaction of the students, who find the teaching offered a valuable support for their professional future. This is made possible by the great helpfulness of the lecturers, who act as true intermediaries between the students and the world of work. The numerous internship opportunities and collaborations with companies and production realities outside the university allow students to gain concrete and direct experience in the sector, preparing the new generations of professionals to face the challenges and opportunities of the animal production industry with competence and passion.

After graduation
The course offers a solid and multidisciplinary scientific preparation, ensuring that after graduation students can access Masters courses both in Italy and abroad.
Right from the first year, students can benefit from a highly formative practical experience, thanks to a structured programme of summer internships (14 CFU spread over the three years) in excellent animal breeding establishments. The Parma area, with its long tradition of livestock production and quality food processing, offers a unique context in which each student can gain direct experience in state-of-the-art livestock farms, equine stud farms, highly innovative feed mills, professional associations and laboratories specialising in the processing of animal products. Thanks to these opportunities, each student can tailor their course to their own interests and acquire practical skills and applied knowledge to meet the challenges of the industry.
