Why in Parma?
The degree course in Constructions, Infrastructures and Territorial Management (CIT) is based on the 30+ year tradition of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Parma. It is closely linked to the entrepreneurial reality of the area, operating in the building and infrastructure sector both in Italy and abroad.
Through the use of the latest educational and IT tools, the course provides students with knowledge and skills in the field of civil and industrial construction, transport infrastructures and hydraulic constructions, urban and regional planning techniques, topography, architectural representation, the newest IT technologies applied to the civil sector (Building Information Modeling, BIM), land management and protection, and the management of building processes involving both new constructions and the transformation of existing ones. In the third year students will also receive a substantial amount of training in field through an internship (lasting 1,200 hours, approximately 9 months) in companies, public bodies or high-level professional studios.

Admission to the degree course is possible within two time slots:
- Call 1 (first slot): the ranking will be established on the basis of the mark obtained in the TOLC-LP test (CISIA)
- Call 2 (second slot): the ranking will be drawn up in chronological order of place reservation, with merit assessment based on certificate grade.The second slot will be activated in July 2023 and only if there are still places available after the conclusion of the first slot and the related shortlists

After graduation
The professionally oriented degree course in Constructions, Infrastructures and Territorial Management has the objective to form professional experts in the civil, construction, infrastructural and territorial sectors. They will operate in three main areas:
1. Construction, urban planning and territory: design and testing of minor works; management, accounting and safety coordination of works; property administration services and energy certification.
2. Geomatics and cadastral activities: cadastral operations for updating, fractioning and amalgamation; geometric survey and graphic restitution of buildings; tracing of building and infrastructure works (road and rail routes, pipelines and conduits, canalizations, etc.).
3. Quantity surveying and expert activities: consultancy activities, estimating the market value of real estate, technical and regulatory assistance, expert activities in judicial and extrajudicial proceedings. More generally, the degree in Construction, Infrastructure and Territory allows students to find employment, not only as freelancers, but also in public or private companies and professional firms operating in the building, infrastructure, urban planning, territorial and environmental fields.
The degree is immediately qualifying for the Collegio dei Geometri Laureati, regardless of the high school diploma possessed, without having to perform any apprenticeship or take the state exam.
