Quality Assurance of PhD Courses
"QUALITY ASSURANCE" means:
- Defining quality policies that are consistent and synergistic with the University's strategic directions, and reliable and robust procedures through which the governing bodies can implement them;
- Implementing activities to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in all internal processes of the University, primarily in the service of the quality of education and research;
- Raising the awareness of all those working in the University so that each person's role is carried out competently and promptly, that the services provided are effective, and that records are kept of what is done in order to monitor and measure results.
The AVA (Self-Assessment - Evaluation - Accreditation) system aims to improve the quality of the activities carried out in the universities through the application of a quality assurance (QA) model based on internal procedures for design, management, self-assessment and improvement.
This QA system supports the design, initial and periodic accreditation and management of the Doctoral Courses, through the preparation and updating of a series of documents by the Coordinator, the Review Group and the Teachers' Board:
- PhD Course Design Plan;
- Annual Report;
- Analysis of the results of the ANVUR indicators;
- Analysis of the results of the compilation of questionnaires relating to the satisfaction of PhD students and PhDs. ANVUR has made available to universities a model;
- Advisory Board Consultation Meetings;
- PhD Course Review document;
- Self-assessment document for periodic accreditation.
