Educational content

The training course of this Master aims to provide a general overview of the world of audiovisual translation (TAV) through the different modes of TAV. The program deals with a theoretical part on the meaning of the TAV, fundamental to understand the different modes such as: the translation for dubbing and adaptation dialogues, subtitling for the cinema, subtitling for the deaf and respeaking, audio description, localization of multimedia products and, finally, the location of video games. Project work: it is planned to develop a research work -theoretical or practical- chosen from the subjects studied in the course that allows you to apply the skills acquired with a reasoned comment. Activities to be carried out with the reference teacher of the chosen topic.

To obtain the master’s degree you must have passed all the modules proving to have assimilated the contents, including the activity of Project Work. Project Work will have a judgment (excellent, good, promoted, rejected), does not average with the rest of the modules, but contributes to the final vote.

Professional profile

The Master’s Degree aims to provide a useful overview of the field of Audiovisual Translation for a new generation of students interested in understanding those segments of the translation market that are emerging as the most productive, besides the more known as the translation for Dubbing and Subtitling, to the less known as the Localization (which is constantly expanding so that we can now speak of "translation industry") and also the new professional profiles such as Respeaking, Subtitling for deaf people and Audiodescription.
