Educational content

The Master aims to improve knowledge in the field of implantation and management of central and long-term venous access, in all their clinical and care implications. Central venous accesses are principally located in hospitals for the administration of drugs and parenteral nutrition. These devices fall into a variety of clinical situations and involve a considerable heterogeneity of health professionals. The aim of the Master is to allow healthcare professionals an organic, complete, theoretical and practical deepening of their knowledge, so that they can face first-hand the multiform clinical problems posed by these devices.
During the internship candidates will follow the activity of implantation of short and long-term central venous catheters at the vascular access clinic and will follow the activity of the PICC Team bedside implantation. Learners can learn and practice eco-anatomy and puppet implantation techniques under the supervision of tutors. The candidates will also follow the activity of vascular access management by training on the dummy for dressing and fixing systems.
Final test:
Candidates must produce a thesis on an aspect of particular interest (technical, clinical or organizational) demonstrating that they have learned the notions exposed during the lessons and be able to develop it in the field of research and clinical practice.
