Research topics

The course in "Drugs sciences" has as its objective the training of PhDs with the basis and experience suitable for entering the world of research aimed at the design, discovery, development, production and control of drugs and health products, and to the understanding of their mechanisms of action at the biomolecular level. The course provides teachings dedicated directly to doctoral students both in the disciplinary fields described above and in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary fields. Multi- and interdisciplinarity are typical characteristics of the doctoral program, which addresses the final practical goal (producing innovation in drug sciences) from different points of view and with different approaches. The research program, which leads to the doctoral thesis, is supervised by a supervisor who, in addition to guiding the training of the doctoral student, encourages the achievement of scientific objectives (publications) or technology transfer. PhD students usually spend a period of secondment in prestigious foreign research centres, facilitated by joining the ULLA consortium, which facilitates mobility programs towards prestigious centers such as Uppsala, Leiden, Amsterdam, London, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Leuven and Geneva .
