Learning objectives

The students will learn the principles of clinical and treatment of mood disorders to aid patients the improve the managment of their disorder and the adherence to the treatment

Course unit content

The classes were aimed to present the fundamental principles of clinical presentation, course and treatment of mood disorder, particularly depressives and bipolar disorders.

Concerning treatment, clinical guidelines for the treatment of mood disorder, particularly those published by the American Psychiatry Association. For the students, who don't speak english, the Italian translation of the Maudsley guidelines will be provided

Lesson, exercices and discussion of clinical cases

Assessment methods and criteria

Multiple choice test with 30 questions. The exam is passed if the student answers correctly to at lest 18 questions
