Learning objectives

Students will learn to recognise traumatic sport-related injuries, identify and evaluate the main conditions caused by functional overload and take suitable preventive measures regarding the abovementioned conditions.
In addition, the course sets out to provide students with general indications concerning physiotherapeutic/rehabilitation treatment in sports traumatology and specific skills in drawing up specific muscle-strengthening plans (isometric, isotonic and isokinetic), as well as equip them with tools and concepts for understanding the most commonly observed conditions of greatest relevance to the rheumatic, surgical, vascular, dental, cardiac, anaesthesiological and emergency treatment fields for professionals dealing with physical health and wellbeing
