- Infections in the immunocompromised patient

Los student must learn the basics of the clinical approach to the patient hematologic, neoplastic and infectious :

Setting the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Plan
- Interpretation of objective data and supporting laboratory and instrumental
- The student must be familiar with the clinical features and elements of the differential diagnosis of neoplasms palpable or radiologically proven
- The student must be able to interpret haematological indices , molecular studies and reports at the end of the microbiological and histological diagnosis and clinical disease stadificazione
- Interpretation of symptoms
- The student should recognize the specificity and clinical relevance of symptoms related to the disease
- The student must be familiar with the clinical condition of internal influencing the approach to the patient onco- hematology - infectious
- The student must be familiar with the methods of indexing for the clinical assessment of performance status
- Participation of the student in the diagnostic workup of the patient
- Maneuvers diagnostic competence of the physician : fine needle aspiration and bone marrow biopsy , lumbar puncture , paracentesis , and liver biopsy.
- Evaluation of cyto- morphological prepared by drawing blood and agospirazione

The student needs to know to set up, based on the clinical picture , the correct diagnostic and prognostic evaluation of onco-hematological diseases - infectious using the principals available to achieve the same .

The student must know the principles of treatment of onco-hematological diseases - infectious and clinical effects of therapeutic approaches used :
- Chemotherapy
- Molecular targeted therapies
