Learning objectives
To know the anabolic and catabolic pathway of glycogen and lipid matabolism in different tissues. To know the main points of metabolic regulation, in physiological and pathological conditions.
Prerequisites
To be eligible to take the examination of Biochemistry and Systematic Human Dynamics at the end of the second year of the course, students must have passed the examinations:
1) Introductory Biochemistry and Chemistry
2) Histology
Course unit content
Basic principles of lipid and glycogen metabolism. Enzymatic reaction and metabolic regulation.
