This course aims to provide critical abilities to students in order to analyze and cope with the historical context of movies.

The first part of the course loks at moments and artists of the international history of the Movies, expecially american and italian filmmakers.
The second part is on the cinema of Luchino Visconti in his sources from literature and art.
