After graduation

Post-graduate guidance is a service designed to guide undergraduates and graduates towards the workplace by means of various activities and initiatives.

The orientation service is mainly carried out by course staff and the Orientation and Job Placement Unit.

More specifically:

  • the Department's delegate organises and advertises meetings with representatives of the working world (e.g. professionals, civil servants, entrepreneurs, etc.) to familiarise students with the characteristics of activities and the challenges that await them at the end of their studies;
  • the Guidance and Job Placement O.U. organises a series of orientation interventions to accompany those who are about to graduate or have already graduated towards the world of work, encouraging the enhancement of soft skills and knowledge of professional profiles and related opportunities.

The main services offered to undergraduates and graduates are:

  • job vacancies notice board where all job from companies, institutions and organisations registered on the AlmaLaurea portal are collected;
  • job openings, publication of opportunities for students and graduates;
  • Job day, an annual event intended to foster direct relations between companies and students/graduates of the University of Parma;
  • seminars and meetings on how to draft a curriculum vitae and cover letter, how to succeed at job interviews (simulations of individual and group interviews), etc.;
  • orientation internships, for university graduates within twelve months of obtaining their degree.

In addition, ER.GO. also provides various support services for recent graduates on its 'Job Orientation' page.
