Learning objectives
Provide students with the knowledge to assist patients affected with psychiatric diseases, with particular emphasis on confusional states, schizophrenia, delirious psychoses, mood disorders and anxiety. Additionally, students will be expected to acquire knowledge of the main guidelines for treating such disorders, with special reference to efficacy and to the undesired effects of the same.

Have taken the year-end examinations of the courses taught in the first two years
Course unit content
<br />The course will provide students with up-to-date knowledge of psychopathology, clinics, treatment and prognosis of the main psychiatric disorders, with particular emphasis on confusional states, schizophrenic and delirious psychoses, mood disorders and anxiety.

Teaching methods
The course will consist of theoretical lessons and of a period of time, together with the tutor, at the in-patient departments of the Psychiatric Clinic and other psychiatric hospital and territorial healthcare facilities
