Integrated course unit module: CLINICAL NURSING IN MENTAL HEALTH

Learning objectives

Provide students with the knowledge to assist patients affected with psychiatric diseases, with particular emphasis on confusional states, schizophrenia, delirious psychoses, mood disorders and anxiety. Additionally, students will be expected to acquire knowledge of the main guidelines for treating such disorders, with special reference to efficacy and to the undesired effects of the same.

Prerequisites

Have taken the year-end examinations of the courses taught in the first two years

Course unit content

<br />The course will provide students with up-to-date knowledge of psychopathology, clinics, treatment and prognosis of the main psychiatric disorders, with particular emphasis on confusional states, schizophrenic and delirious psychoses, mood disorders and anxiety.
